Accomplishments

Last year, as you know, Westwood moved up to the GISA Class AAA. I had a huge amount of adjusting I had to do but was able to not only win third place in One Act Play, but also go on to become a Literary state champion in Oral Dramatic Interpretation. I also participated in track and was able to come in second place in the girls 300-meter hurdles at region. This was definitely a tremendous accomplishment for me, considering I had never jumped a hurdled in my entire life.

In the class room I had the opportunity of being able to participate in and be a manager of an app in our Shark Tank contest. Making an app is defiantly a lot harder than I ever anticipated but I, along with my team mates made it to the top six apps in the school and I believe that is a wonderful accomplishment. At the end of this year I was definitely taken off guard when I was awarded the Extra Mile award by not only my teachers but also by coach Ross Worsham. This year has definitely been one for the book, not only in the class room but in every aspect.

This year I have participated in the Westwood Drama club and had the privilege of being cast the lead role in the play Charleston. Charleston placed second in region and fourth in state, individually I received honorable mention at the state competition. I am also participating in Westwood's Literary club and I have the chance to compete in the Dramatic Oral Interpretation. I am currently taking six academic classes and I have been able to obtain honor roll thus far.
